These terms govern your use of the Equipment On Call platform. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

What Equipment On Call is

Equipment On Call is a technology platform that connects equipment owners with people and businesses who want to rent equipment, and coordinates the operational record of those rentals. Equipment On Call does not own the equipment listed on the platform, does not operate it, and is not a party to the rental agreement between an owner and a renter.

Accounts

• You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity carried out under your account.
• Business accounts are responsible for the members they invite and the roles they grant.

Owner responsibilities

• You must have the legal right to rent out the equipment you list.
• Listings must accurately describe the equipment, its condition and its specifications.
• You are responsible for the equipment being safe and legal to operate when handed over.
• You must honour the availability and terms you publish.

Renter responsibilities

• You must be qualified and legally permitted to operate or transport the equipment.
• You must use equipment only as intended, and return it on time and in agreed condition.
• You are responsible for damage, loss and documented charges arising during your rental.

Payments

Rental payments and security deposits are processed through our payment provider. Amounts, deposits and any charges applied after a return inspection are shown in your account.

Insurance and liability

Equipment On Call does not provide insurance and is not liable for damage, injury, loss or delay arising from the use of equipment rented through the platform. Insurance obligations sit with the owner and the renter under their rental agreement and applicable law.

Prohibited use

• Attempting to access data belonging to other users or organisations.
• Circumventing platform booking or payment to avoid platform terms.
• Posting fraudulent, illegal or misleading listings.
• Automated scraping or interference with platform infrastructure.

Suspension

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, present a safety risk, or appear fraudulent.

Changes

We may update these terms as the platform changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
