How it works

Rent Equipment in a Few Simple Steps

Find the equipment you need, choose your rental dates, and book directly through Equipment On Call. Simple, transparent, and built to keep your job moving.

For renters

Search, book, use, return

  1. 01

    Tell us what you need

Describe the job or pick a category, location and dates.

  2. 02

    Choose available equipment

Compare matches by distance, specifications and whether they are free on your dates.

  3. 03

    Book and pay securely

Your dates are held while you review the quote. Payment and any deposit are handled through the platform.

  4. 04

Pick it up or have it delivered

Choose pickup or, where the owner offers it, delivery to your jobsite.

For owners

List, control, fulfil, get paid

  1. 01

    Add your equipment

Specs, photos, documents and where the machine lives.

  2. 02

    Set availability and terms

Blackout dates, minimum rental length and your minimum payout.

  3. 03

    Approve and fulfil

Approve requests where you require it, then coordinate pickup or delivery.

  4. 04

    Track rentals and payouts

Follow the rental, the return inspection and what you are owed.

In between

What Equipment On Call handles for both sides

  • Verified booking workflow

Dates are held atomically, so two renters cannot book the same machine for the same window.

  • Payments handled on-platform

Card payments and security deposits are processed through our payment provider, not cash at the gate.

  • Documented pickup and delivery

Handoffs are recorded with a timestamped chain of custody for both sides.

  • Condition records

Condition is captured at handoff and again at return, then reconciled before any deposit decision.

  • Support during the rental

If equipment breaks down, you open a case in the app and the service and recovery workflow takes over.

Equipment On Call is not an insurer and does not own the equipment listed on the platform. Rental agreements are between the owner and the renter.
